Summary: | Methods: Our systematic review of randomised controlled trials protocol was registered, and utilised Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines for systematic reviews and synthesis without meta-analysis. To capture the greatest prospective research pool, trial inclusion criteria were adult participants with medically diagnosed concussion, incurred during sport or any other mechanism, and commenced treatment within 14 days of the concussive event. Discussion: Of the 11trials included in this systematic review, two trials that delivered interventions within two weeks of injury reported significant concussion symptom improvement compared to controls. |
