The forensic methodology, aimed at researching certain categories of crimes such as crimes against life, embezzlement from public or personal property, road, naval or air accidents etc. [...]the forensic methodology establishes the procedural activities that must be carried out during the forensic investigation of a certain crime, as well as the logical order in which they will be undertaken, constituting a scientific guide to the investigation of a specific crime. 2. In recent years, we have witnessed the unprecedented development of digital photography, which is gradually replacing classic photography, including in the activity of criminal prosecution bodies, benefiting from a series of indisputable advantages: a) does not require a laboratory for development, obtaining the images in digital format is conditioned only by the existence of a computer and a color printer; b) the possibility of storage is extremely easy, occupying a very small storage space; c) image quality does not degrade over time; d) images can be easily processed. Corresponding to these complex tasks, a series of photography methods and procedures have been formulated in forensics, aimed at obtaining quality photographic images, capable of contributing to the achievement of the objectives of the criminal process.
