Summary: | Electricity is the need of hour today. As demand of electricity is increased day by day, we have to switch towards non-conventional energy resources. Self-excited induction generator is most commonly used electrical machines these days for converting wind energy to electrical energy. But there is major challenge in converting wind energy to electrical as self-excited induction generator works only when it comes under saturation region. Maintaining of magnetizing reactance and generated frequency is required for calculating the performance of this self-excited induction machine In this work various method for calculating the performance of machine is discussed as various soft computing techniques are used to find the generated frequency reactance and Magnetizing reactance Requirement of capacitor is also discussed in this work for starting of SEIG. |
