Description
Summary:The usage of Additive Manufactured components in almost all the engineering and non-engineering sectors is inevitable these days. The commonly used printing materials for that are PLA, PETG, ABS, etc., Nowadays industries have started to produce their parts with various new materials that satisfy the desired purposes. In this way, thermoplastic polymer materials like Polyamide (PA) exhibit excellent performance. PA combined with other materials bring notable potential and practical applications. The present work investigates the mechanical behaviors of additive manufactured specimens made of PA6GF30 (Poly Amide - Glass Fiber) polymer material, produced at different layer thickness, infill pattern, infill density and printing speed. The mechanical characterization is focused to find the impact, flexural and tensile strengths of the 3D printed specimens as per ASTM standards. The mechanical test results indicate the potential usability of additive manufactured PA6GF30 alloy for various functional applications.
