Summary:Teaching the sociology of race often relies on discussions organized by racial groups. This approach risks foreclosing opportunities for building intergroup alliances. I develop a coalitional pedagogy that promotes a shared political commitment across racial identities. I model one application through a relational analysis of three cases. By illuminating how racism afflicts different groups in patterned ways, instructors can build interest convergence and cultivate antiracist solidarity.
