Summary: | Curcumin is one of the promising anticancer drugs but has the problems of poor water solubility and rapid degradation in aqueous solution. In this study, a hyperbranched curcumin polymer having many carboxylic end groups is synthesized. The polymer is highly water‐soluble and contains a high amount of curcumins. Remarkable improvement of stability toward degradation and aggregation in aqueous solution is achieved. Its cellular uptake and cytotoxicity are also confirmed. |
