Description
Summary:A promising electrochemical sensor was developed using an electro-polymerization technique for the simultaneous detection of indigo carmine and tartrazine. The modified sensor exhibited enhanced electrochemical performance compared to the bare carbon paste electrode. Here we used cyclic voltammetry and differential pulse voltammetry methods, the IC showed a good linear response with a correlation value of 0.9956 in the concentration range from 2–27.5 µM. The limit of detection and limit of quantification were determined to be 16.9 nM and 56.33 nM, respectively. Real sample analysis of IC was tested using a tap water by spike method containing indigo carmine demonstrated good recovery results. The poly(dopamine) modified carbon paste electrode holds great potential as an ideal sensor for indigo carmine determination and opens new possibilities for biosensor development. Graphical abstract
