Description
Summary:In raster honing, the accuracy of a machined hole may be controlled by adjusting the parameters of the supply motions, with constant parameters of the cutting motion. Experiments show the effectiveness of honing holes on two sides by periodic rotation of the workpiece. Thanks to mutual straightening of the tool–workpiece contact, the accuracy of the hole’s longitudinal form may be considerably increased and stabilized, while the initial shape error of the tool may be automatically decreased.
