Summary: | We study an X-type non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) wireless relay network that consists of an uplink multiple access channel and a downlink broadcast channel. We formulate a non-convex optimization problem to obtain an optimal power allocation factor and an optimal rate vector that maximize the end-to-end sum rate. To solve the optimization problem, we prove four theorems that contain closed-form expressions for the optimal solutions. We also use computer simulation to obtain some numerical results. |
