Summary: | The article presents the results of a study of modeling elements, parts, equipment for mechanical engineering, as well as elements of complex geometry for the construction area based on rotational and helical surfaces. The possibilities of analytical and computer modeling of these surfaces are analyzed. For this, CAE systems (Computer-Aided Engineering systems) MatLab and Maple and CAD systems (Computer-Aided Design systems) KOMPAS-3D and Autodesk Inventor were used. The advantages and possibilities of these programs were analyzed in the framework of the study. Some obtained models, such as rotational surfaces with cone-cone axoids; rotational surfaces with axoids cylinder-cylinder; straight helicoid; "Auger" surface; "Auger for drilling" model; compressor model, are presented. Analytical and computer modeling of some types of rotational and helical surfaces, including using the MatLab and Maple programs, was performed. Some of the results obtained are presented in the article. Further, these and other author’s developments were used for modeling in the KOMPAS-3D and Autodesk Inventor programs. Conclusions about the possibilities of the studied programs for full and fast modeling of elements containing rotational and helical surfaces are drawn. |
