Description
Summary:The properties and methods of forming of β(NiAl)Zr and β(NiAl)SiMo (SHS) aluminide coatings are considered to protect the III–IV generation blades of a high-pressure turbine (HPT) against high-temperature oxidation. The results of comparative isothermal heat-resistance tests (1100°C) are presented. The solutions proposed for a DG90 HPT are shown to have significantly better protective properties as compared to VSDP-11 and to be characterized by simple production, the minimum cost, and the availability and possibility of using these coatings as a binder layer for a ceramic electron-beam condensate.
