Summary: | Tellurite lead sodium (TePbNa) Glasses with the composition [TeO2](0.9-x) – [Pb3O4]x - [Na2O](0.1) (Where x = 0.02, 0.04, 0.06, 0.08 and 0.1). The specimen was created using the traditional melt quenching technique. Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) is done to analysis the effect of heat on the fabricated specimen. These glass specimens were examined to XRD analyses at room temperature. The XRD patterns verified that the glass specimens were amorphous. Density (ρ) was calculated using the liquid replacement approach, which is deduced by Archimedes. Other physical parameters as molar volume (Vm), intermolecular distance Ri, oxygen packing density (OPD), Polaron radius Rp, lead ion concentration (N), and Molar index of refraction Rm, were computed. In order to study the optical characteristics of the specimens, such as the absorbance, cut-off wavelength, optical energy band gap (Eg), refractive index, and Urbach Energy (Eu), UV-visible absorption characterizations of TePbNa glasses were performed in the range of 250-1150 nm. |
