Summary:Aquaculture is a popular activity in Indonesia, with one of the leading commodities, namely tilapia. After shrimp and salmon, tilapia as a successful example of world aquaculture set by the Department of Fisheries and Aquaculture FAO (Food and Agriculture Organization). In line with the development of the cultivation business, there are also several disturbing problems such as pests and diseases that hinder the development of the cultivation business. Monitoring activities were carried out in one of the districts, namely Bangli district. Monitoring activities are carried out by identifying pathogenic bacteria found in tilapia. The steps in identification are bacterial isolation, purification, presumptive test, biochemical test and reading of the results. The bacteria identified were Aeromonas hydrophila, Plesiomonas shigelloides, Pseudomonas putida, Aeromonas sobria and Pseudomonas alkaligenes .
