Description
Summary:Formation of nanosilver using nontoxic biopolymer carboxymethylcellulose as a reducing and stabilizing agents in aquatic medium and micelles at various temperatures was studied. Excess [CMC] is used to apply a pseudo first order condition for the reaction between silver(I) and CMC. Effect of temperatures, pH, reactants concentration and micelles on the rate of the formation of nanosilver was investigated. The rate of formation of nanosilver enhance by the increasing of pH. At lower temperature CMC act as stabilizing agent but at higher temperature (>60°C) act as stabilizing and reducing agent. The rate of formation of nanosilver has been investigated in the presence of micelles like CTAB and SDS. The spectroscopic techniques (SEM, TEM, Fit-IR, and UV-spectrophotometry) are used to characterize nanosilver.
