Second International Conference on “Advancements in Sustainable Materials and Infrastructure” (ASMI-2023)It is quite understood that, the economical growth of any country depends on the infrastructural development leading to the comfort and adequate facilities required for well-being of human. The lifestyle of any human is depending on the economy of the particular habitant. In this regard, the higher educational institutions plays a vital role in disseminate the knowledge especially in the field of science and technology in the particular domain of engineering. This could be possible through the institutions offers engineering education. The government of India has awarded premium to start many engineering colleges throughout the country. In this connection several private universities and private institutions that are offering engineering education have been started apart from existing public universities and institutions of national importance.Keeping in view of above conditions, the department of civil engineering at Sreenidhi Institute of Science and Technology (SNIST), Hyderabad and department of civil engineering, KSRM Engineering College, Kadapa Jointly proposed to conduct an international conference in online mode. Now days, due to the abnormal usage of natural resources especially in the construction field, there arises the need to pressure and protect the resources to maintain the ecological balance. Hence, the sustainability of the materials that are going to be used in the construction is the need of the hour. Coming to this aspect, the department of civil engineering, SNIST has planned to conduct an international conference in the field of sustainability of materials viz “Advancements in Sustainable Materials and Infrastructure (ASMI)” and invited all the intellectuals in this field to submit their research contributions. This conference has been conducted under the aegis of IOP: Earth and Environmental Science which could be an added advantage for maintaining the quality.
