Summary: | The global warming and increasing of population rate around the world are the main causes of production shortage of strategic crops such as wheat. Atmospheric pressure plasma jet (APPJ) system, with its robustness is a promising tool in treating and enhancing the germination and growth of wheat seeds. In this research, the home-made plasma system is used for improving the Iraqi wheat germination and growth. The 35 Iraqi wheat seeds are treated by argon plasma jet by 2,6,8, and 10 minutes for each sample. Then the treated seeds and controlled sample were farmed in a growth cabinet at 25±1°C, illumination (1500-1800 Lux) and humidity of 60-70%. The results revealed that there is a good enhancement in the growth and germination ratio of treated Iraqi wheat by Atmospheric Pressure Plasma Jet (APPJ). |
