Summary:Immune-compromised are a condition where the mechanism of host defenses is impaired (weakened or absent) by primary (congenital)or secondary (acquired)causes. The opportunistic fungus under genus of Candida consider as a major cause of human infections, these infections may be confined superficially to the mucosa, but in immunocompromised hosts they can develop systemically and ultimately lead to life -threatening situations, and C. albicans consider the most frequently isolated species between pthe Candida species. Materials and Meathods: A total of 20 specimens were collected from 20 patients with defrrenet infections which were including 2/20(10%) specimens from male and 18/20(90%) specimens were obtained from female. A swab of a lesional site is a relatively simple method of detecting growth and semi quantitative estimation of isolates can be obtained. Result: Five of yeastes species belonging one genus Candida sp. and two genera involving Aspergillus and Penicillium sp. and other species were identified in specimens of examined patients.
