Summary:The article is devoted to the problems of measuring health capital as the most important component of human capital. In the course of the study, a survey of employees of a transport company was conducted, which showed that employees consider the health protection policy that is implemented in the company to be important and are even ready to co-finance it. A large number of large Russian transport companies consider caring for the health of employees as one of the strategic directions for the development of human capital. Evaluation of the effectiveness of investments in this area is determined by the specifics of health as an element of human capital, and in this area there are currently no correct methods for assessing the effectiveness of corporate health preservation policy. The authors give directions for assessing the effectiveness of health care programs implemented in a transport company using the example of Russian Railways OJSC. Approaches to assessing the effectiveness of the human capital of health from both economic and social points of view are also given.
