Summary: | The article provides results of a study of alumina ceramic production based on domestic grades of alumina: GN, GÉF, GK-1, GRT. The different initial state of alumina of different grades in terms of purity and fineness is reflected in the shape and size of granules of pressed powders and in alumina ceramic physical and mechanical properties. Use alumina of domestic producers did not provide preparation of high-quality alumina ceramics. The maximum attainable apparent density value of fired ceramic did not exceed 3.80 – 3.84 g/cm

content of more than 99.0 wt.%, which ensures production of alumina ceramics with a high apparent density at 3.94 – 3.96 g/cm

and can be used for production of alumina ceramics with a high level of physical and engineering properties. |
