Description
Summary:A novel design of the four-band graphene based terahertz (THz) absorber is presented. The pattern is formed by a graphene ring and orthogonal elliptical sheets on the top of a ground plate separated by a dielectric layer. Numerical results reveal that the graphene based absorber has four absorption peaks whose peaks are all over 99%. Besides, the absorption coefficient of the proposed absorber is insensitive to the polarization of the incident wave. And also, variation of geometrical parameter gives considerable freedom to change the resonance frequencies of the absorber. Moreover, the results reveal that the absorption spectra can be extended by tuning the chemical voltage of the graphene layer.
