Some examples of compact/non-compact invariant sets for maps of the plane with singularities
It is reviewed an example shown in [1], proving that the existence of fixed points lead to invariant lines which produce compact or non-compact invariant sets of fractal type. Similar chaotic dynamics are studied in recent works by the authors [2], [3].
