Summary:The number of cycles to fatigue failure of prismatic bars as under uniaxial asymmetrical tension–compression is determined. The solutions are found using the concept of equivalent stresses, the hypothesis of the existence of unified isochronous diagrams of limit stresses, and transcendental power functions. The calculated results are validated experimentally.
