Design a asymmetric circular CPW-fed patch antenna with EBG structure for mobile applications

This document represents a circular patch-antenna with Electronic-Band-Gap (EBG) structure. A slot is placed on the circler substrate in order to attain miniaturization. The EBG structure taken is a square shaped ring in a 4X4 array formation. The proposed antenna resonates at 7.52 GHz and 10.17 GHz...

Description
Summary:This document represents a circular patch-antenna with Electronic-Band-Gap (EBG) structure. A slot is placed on the circler substrate in order to attain miniaturization. The EBG structure taken is a square shaped ring in a 4X4 array formation. The proposed antenna resonates at 7.52 GHz and 10.17 GHz frequencies. The reflection coefficients for the frequencies are-14.82 dB and-33.63 dB and gain are also observed respectively. The antenna works at C-band and X-band applications, especially it suits well in communication applications. The proposed implementations are tested with respect to several antenna parameters and the observations are recorded and illustrated in this paper.
