description Antennas working in multiple operating bands become very popular in wireless communication applications. To achieve multiple bands, substrate material should be chosen properly. In present paper, A 5CB nematic liquid crystal(LC) with rectangular shape patch having square SRR on ground plane for Wi-MAX, WLAN, and X-operating band applications has been designed. Designed antenna is modelled on two-layer glass having 6.438 as dielectric constant. Two glass substrate materials of 1mm with the size of 21mmx25mm and 19mmx19mm have been utilized, in between 0.005mm gap for filling 5CB nematic LC. A rectangular shape patch antenna having the square SRR with coplanar waveguide (CPW) feed has been designed on top of two-layer glass substrate. Designed antenna is operating in triple bands, with the resonant frequency of 3.8GHz, 5.7GHz and 9.72GHz frequencies respectively.
