Recent studies have demonstrated the complex nature of female sexual dysfunction and the multimodal treatment options that are often needed including surgical intervention.
Summary
Recurrent or persistent discomfort before, during, or after intercourse may occur in approximately 15% of women. The differential diagnosis of dyspareunia is vast. A thorough history and physical exam are imperative for diagnosis and treatment of dyspareunia. |
