Tropical fish species thriving in temperate Korean waters

The spatial, temporal and taxonomic heterogeneities in species range shifts stem from species-specific intrinsic traits and local variation in climate velocity (Feary et al. 2013; Pinsky et al. 2013). Aside from factors potentially responsible for species range shifts, however, there is still little...

Description
Summary:The spatial, temporal and taxonomic heterogeneities in species range shifts stem from species-specific intrinsic traits and local variation in climate velocity (Feary et al. 2013; Pinsky et al. 2013). Aside from factors potentially responsible for species range shifts, however, there is still little information on the tropical expatriate communities in temperate region. The range distribution and active ecological interactions of tropical species in Korea may indicate a gradual shift in the regional marine biodiversity and ecosystem composition, potentially driven by global warming. Ecoregional analysis of nearshore sea-surface temperature in the North Pacific.
