Summary:A side stand is a mechanically designed part, mostly used for motorcycle parking. Although it has been manufactured for safety and supporting purposes, it may cause an accident by losing control over the bike as one may forget to return to the side stand before riding. The unfolding of the side stand mechanism, which prohibits the user from riding the bike with the side stand in the unreleased position, is one of the lifesaving devices in two-wheelers. The vehicle’s center of gravity has been appropriately maintained in this manner, and the unbalance or surface obstruction caused by the retracted position of the side stand has been regulated, saving the rider’s life. To prevent accidents caused by failure to elevate the side stand, here a new sophisticated mechanism has been designed, which allows the side stand to unfold and fold with the turn of the ignition switch.
