Summary: | As the pressure drag predominates, the body is termed a Blunt/Bluff body, whereas once the resistance drag predominates, the body is alleged to be efficient. Any drag style is set by the body’s type and Angle of Attack. Analyzing the flow over the blunt body is vital for several engineering applications. We’ve got a simulation software ANSYS whereverthe Fluent module is employed. The widely used URANS turbulence model, primarily the standard k−ɛ model, SST (Shear stress transport-k-w model), and RSM(Reynolds stress equation model), comparison and analysis of flow over the Blunt/Bluff by using of these models were made. The first k-ɛ turbulence model was usually fairly correct in predicting bluff bodies compared to different turbulence models. |
