Summary: | S1 for details of the skeletal structure) from Jeju Island (33.4°N), located in the southwest of the Korean peninsula. [...]the relatively large size observed for some colonies (>50 cm for the maximum length), suggests that their settlement was not recent. Interestingly, the presence of the bivalve Leiosolenus lischkei Huber 2010 (Fig. 1c; indicated by many tiny eight-shaped siphonal openings at the surface of the corals) was systematically found beneath the ring even though the closest siphonal opening was observed a few centimeters away from it (see Fig. 1b). [...]besides reporting on a range extension for P. albopicta, a reef coral species that is not yet well known, we also note a new host record for L. lischkei. |
