Description
Summary:For two-way contingency tables, as one measure of the relationship between rows and columns, there is a proportional reduction in variation (PRV) measure that compares the marginal variation to the conditional variation. Various PRV measures have been proposed by varying the method of calculating the variation, and a PRV measure that generalizes these measures has also been proposed. This paper presents an extension of the generalized PRV measure using any function satisfying specific conditions. The proposed measure contains the existing measures as special cases. By virtue of this generalization, we can express the properties of various measures in a unified way.
