Summary: | The paper aims to analyze the possibility of obtaining the sealing gaskets for precision mechanics using additive manufacturing technologies, knowing that these technologies are viable and accessible methods for the realization of some complex shapes in a relatively short time. For this purpose, three additive methods were used: the thermoplastic extrusion technology - FDM (Fused Deposition Modeling) and the vat photopolymerization technology - the DLP (Digital Light Processing) method and the LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) method together with the post-processing station for cleaning and additional photopolymerization of the obtained structures. To achieve the sealing elements by molding, both the molds made by additive technologies and the master models to obtain the negative of the shape in molds from modellable materials that subsequently harden were considered. After making the sealing gaskets, the results for all investigated variants obtained by different methods were compared and important conclusions were drawn. |
