Summary: | The research objective was to study the effect of bio-silica and bio-organic fertilizer application on nutrient uptake, rice yields, and Zn content in rice grains of IR Nutri-zinc variety. The study was carried out in two locations in Lampung Province in May-September 2021. The treatments were: A. Control, B. Liquid bio-silica, sprayed on the plants twice at 21 days after planting (DAP) with a dosage of 2 L/ha and 42 DAP 3 L/ha, C. Liquid bio-silica sprayed on the plants twice at 21 DAP with a dosage of 3 L/ha and 42 DAP 4 L/ha, D. Bio-Silac formulated in a tablet sprayed on the plants twice at 21 DAP and 42 DAP with a dosage 100 tablets/ha, E. Bio Silac sprayed at 21 DAP and 42 DAP with dosage 200 tablets/ha, and F. Bio-organic fertilizer 30 g/ha sprayed on the plants twice at 14 and 28 DAP. The variables observed were plant height, number of tillers per clump, number of panicles, number of filled grains per panicle, yield per hectare, leaf P and K, and Zn content in rice grains. The results showed that the application of bio-Silac formulated in a tablet sprayed twice on the plants 21 DAP and 42 DAP at a dosage of 200 tablets/ha significantly increased the rice yield at locations 1 (6.46 t/ha) and at location 2 (6.13 t/ha) compared to the control. In addition, the application of bio-Silac 100 tablets/ha resulted in rice with the highest zinc (Zn) content at both locations. |
