Description
Summary:We present a methodology for the efficient determination and investigation of the thermal stressed state of bodies with thin multilayer coatings based on the procedure of modeling of these coatings by shells with the corresponding geometric, thermal, and thermomechanical properties of the coating. In this approach, the influence of coatings on the thermal stressed state of the whole body–coating system is described by special generalized boundary conditions. The efficiency of this approach is demonstrated by analyzing test problems. We also present examples of new solved nonclassical linear and nonlinear boundary-value problems of thermoelasticity for bodies with multilayer thin coatings subjected to thermal loading.
