Summary: | This study examines the pedagogic competence of eight-semester students of the mathematics education study program from high, medium, and low levels of academic competence. Undergraduate education students are prospective educators who need to have teacher competence standards, one of which is pedagogic competence. Pedagogic competency standards are the ability to manage student learning, design learning tools and implement knowledge, evaluate learning outcomes, and develop students to actualize their various potentials. This study aims to analyze the pedagogic competence of eight-semester students of the mathematics education study program as prospective educators based on the high, medium, and low levels of academic competence. The method used in this research is descriptive analysis with the subject of eight-semester students of the mathematics education study program based on teacher competency tests and interviews. The results showed that high pedagogic competence has a good pedagogic competence, and moderate pedagogic competence has a good pedagogic competence but not as deep as high pedagogic competence. In contrast, low pedagogic competence has only limited pedagogical competence. |
