Summary: | The Analysis of transient stability is defined as the ability of the power system to back to a steady state after a disturbance. The novelty of this research is whether transformer reactance affects transient stability or not. This research is to represent the damage to the transformer winding that causes a change in the transformer reactance value. But, because the software has limited facilities, the simulations are made using the switching method on a parallel transformer by presenting two different transformer reactance values. The simulation was carried out by using a switching that connected to transformers A and B in three different places, namely on buses 1, 2, and 3 which are simulated in scenarios I, II, and III. The simulation results can be seen on the graph of the bus voltage, and bus frequency. From the analysis of the graph results, the standard used for transient stability analysis is the IEEE standard. The impact of switching on transformer reactance simulation is shown in scenarios I, II, and III. The bus voltage in scenarios I and II also oscillates, causing the system to exceed the voltage stability limit, which occurs in minutes before steady-state conditions at 58.201 seconds and 52.401 seconds, respectively. On generator III, the voltage is still within standard limits. Bus frequency that is affected by switching on transformer reactance on some parts of scenarios I, II, and III can still be allowed because the effects given are still within the allowable/standard limits. |
