Description
Summary:The literature on the functional neuroanatomy of psychiatric disorders is growing and is certain to expand in the future. To prepare psychiatric residents for the inevitable transformation in how psychiatric disorders are conceptualized and treated, we have created a course focusing on the functional neuroanatomy of psychiatric disorders. The four sections of the course include neuroanatomy, functional neuroimaging techniques, cognitive neuroscience, and current evidence on the neuroanatomical basis of psychiatric disorders. This article summarizes the organization and content of the course and the very favorable evaluations of the course by residents.
