Inhibitors of bacterial cystathionine γ-lyase as antibiotic synergists Part 1. Functional derivatives of 1,3,4-oxadiazole-2-carboxylic acid: synthesis and biological activity

New structural analogs of cystathionine-γ-lyase blockers described earlier in the literature, probable synergists of antibiotics, were developed, synthesized, and studied for biological properties. According to the results of biological assays, the introduction of the 1,3,4-oxadiazole moiety into th...

Description
Summary:New structural analogs of cystathionine-γ-lyase blockers described earlier in the literature, probable synergists of antibiotics, were developed, synthesized, and studied for biological properties. According to the results of biological assays, the introduction of the 1,3,4-oxadiazole moiety into the molecules of test compounds deprives them of the target type of activity. In addition, the specified type of biological activity was not confirmed in one of the prototype compounds.
