Summary: | In this study, the types of scouring mechanisms from sea waves, the relationship between local scouring and ground liquefaction, and their effect on the stability of marine hydraulic structures are analyzed using published data from open sources. Analytical calculation of the liquefaction penetration depth for Nakhodka Mineral Fertilizer Plant berthing facilities is performed using a liquefaction analysis method under wave loading conditions to determine the cyclic stress coefficient. The determined coefficient of cyclic stresses is then compared with the coefficient of cyclic stresses causing liquefaction, which further allows the determination of the depth of liquefaction penetration. The effect of liquefaction on the stability of the sea terminal approach bridge piers is evaluated based on the analysis results obtained. |
