Visible-Light-Mediated Cyclization of Arylamines with Aldehydes Using CdSe/CdS Quantum Dots and Titanium Dioxide Nanotube Composite

Summary: | We report an efficient and simple method for the synthesis of core–shell quantum dots CdSe/CdS in aqueous media under normal pressure. This QDs was successfully loaded on the surface of titanium dioxide nanotubes (TNTs) to get the QDs/TNTs composite photocatalysts. The QDs/TNTs composites were successfully applied to the cyclization reaction between arylamines and a series of aldehydes to give the corresponding N-heterocyclic compounds. The results show that the QDs/TNTs composite with the advantages of good catalytic activity, low cost, ease of recovering, and being able to be used for several times.
