Summary: | Studies have shown that the improvement of the antifriction properties of the friction surface of the Uglekon-T material paired with 40X13 steel was achieved by treating the surface of the Uglekon-T material in selenium and polytetrafluoroethylene vapors. The friction surface saturated with the Se-PTFE antifriction composition has a low friction coefficient up to a temperature of 500 °C, which is in the range of 0.07–0.12. At a load of 1.0 MPa, a sliding speed of 0.05 m/s and a temperature of 500 °C the friction coefficient of the treated surface is 4.88 times lower than that of the untreated surface. At a temperature of 500 °C and a load of 1.0 MPa in the velocity range of 0.05–0.02 m/s the change in the friction coefficient is insignificant and lies in the range of 0.07–0.11. |
