Summary: | The Vega Baja of the Segura River claims legal regulation adapted to its history, significance, needs, uncertainties, advantages, and future challenges, as hydraulic heritage entails preserving relevant historical-cultural and heritage vestiges, especially in the Lower Segura area, which are architectural imprints of civilizations or cultures that, based on technical and legal knowledge, were passed on through generations to manage water. Keeping this in mind, semistructured interviews were conducted with different agents involved in and/or affected by the proposed regulatory action. Therefore, the study aimed to provide a qualitative analysis of the content and claims of the Territorial Action Plan and its viability in the field under analysis, as well as to verify if the future Territorial Action Plan (still in the drafting phase) aligns with the interests of the Lower Segura as an ecosocial, productive, cultural, hydrological, and environmental asset from the perspective of users. |
