description This research is motivated by the ability to understand students’ mathematical concepts which still need to be improved and the unavailability of appropriate teaching materials to facilitate these abilities. The teaching materials for mathematics comics based on the Pixton application can be an alternative in facilitating students’ mathematical concept understanding ability. The purpose of this study is to determine the process of developing, validity, effectiveness, and response of students to mathematics comic teaching materials based on the Pixton application. The method used in this research is research and development or Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE development model which consists of five stages of development, namely: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The test subjects in this study were high school students of Class X. Validation of mathematics comic teaching materials was carried out by one media expert and two material experts. The instruments used are validation sheets, questionnaires, and mathematical concept understanding tests. The data analysis techniques used are qualitative descriptive analysis techniques and quantitative analysis techniques. The results of this development research, namely teaching materials for mathematics comics based on the Pixton application on Class X Trginometry material in the form of books. As for the validity of teaching materials, it is stated to be "Very Valid" based on the assessment of media experts and material experts. Then for the effectiveness of the teaching materials it is declared "Effective", based on the results of the given concept comprehension ability test. In addition, the student’s response to the developed teaching materials was stated "Very Good". Based on the assessment that has been carried out, it can be concluded that the teaching materials for mathematics comics based on the Pixton application are declared feasible to use and effective in facilitating students’ mathematical concept understanding ability.
