Summary: | We report the development of a proton conducting polymer electrolyte using Polyvinylidene fluoride-hexafluoropropylene (PVDF-HFP) and Cellulose acetate propionate (CAP). A blend polymer membrane is made with PVDF-HFP and CAP with the ratio 50:50. By adding different weight ratio of ammonium thiocyanate (ATC) to the blend polymer, a proton conducting polymer electrolyte was prepared. Dielectric study and temperature dependence ionic conductivity study are done by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. Ionic conductivity is found to increase with the increase in the dopant concentration. A proton battery is constructed and its performance is studied. |
