Summary:The Health Information and Management Systems Society conducted a survey of health care organizations and found that 12 percent of organizations have had at least one patient report a medical identity theft, while approximately half of the organizations surveyed reported their information technology budget allocates 3 percent or less for security of EHRs. Bioprinting devices are capable of printing with five unique materials at once, allowing team members to create tissue scaffolds and complicated tissue types with multiple cell types and apply bioactive growth factors that aid cellular development. According to the CDC, heightened precautions for Ebola are recommended because of the "high rate of morbidity and mortality among infected patients, risk of human-to-human transmission, and lack of a FDA-approved vaccine and therapeutics."
