Description
Summary:The tendency of two pinane derivatives of fluoroquinolone to crystallize with two independent molecules in the unit cell is revealed. In these molecules, the geometry of achiral fluoroquinolone moieties is mirror symmetric at the identical configuration of the pinnae core. Prostereogenic groups in the bridge between the bicycloheptene and fluoroquinolone fragments support the mirror symmetry of the achiral moiety. They are organized by intra- and intermolecular interactions, oppositely to independent molecules.
