Summary: | Using an historical analysis approach, this paper deepens understanding of the connections between Layton and Domegan's (2021) prescriptive supply systems and the emerging concept of provisioning systems (O’Neill et al. 2018 and Fanning, O’Neill, and Büchs 2020). The paper deconstructs New Zealand's electricity supply system into its provisioning system elements and analyses the interrelationships and interconnections between technologies and institutional elements. The paper concludes with recommendations to marketing scholars using provisioning system analysis. |
