Description
Summary:Plasma‐Activated Hydrogel Therapy Plasma‐activated hydrogel therapy (PAHT) is an emerging wound treatment technology involving the ionized gas (plasma) activation of hydrogels with reactive oxygen and nitrogen species (RONS). In article number 2314345, Sumyea Sabrin, Endre J. Szili, and co‐workers describe an electrochemical method to significantly enhance the plasma generation of RONS in hydrogels. The “super‐charged” PAHT is effective at killing microbial wound pathogens and stimulating healing through oxidative stress and cellular signaling pathways, respectively.
