Description
Summary:In the electrical networks of mining enterprises, power supply to powerful loads, e.g., mining excavators, is carried out using cantilever lines. During operation of a cyclic, powerful, sharply variable load and energy recovery, deviations and voltage fluctuations are observed. A method to reduce voltage fluctuations in this network is considered using a static VAr compensators, the operating algorithm of which involves control over the capacitive/inductive current in the supply line in proportion to the active component of the load current. The proportionality coefficient between the reactive current of a line and the active load current is taken to be equal to the ratio of active and inductive resistance of the supply line. The complex resistance of the supply electrical network is assumed to be known or identified during operation. The equations are given to calculate currents in the power supply system for different modes. The electrical power processes during operation of a thyristor–reactor VAr compensator with a special controller have been carried simulated.
