Description
Summary:The "food is medicine" evidence base is lacking in populations with multiple social risk factors or considered "hard-to-reach," including families with children, of Hispanic ethnicity, or with lower-incomes. Meal kits included fresh ingredients and recipes in English or Spanish to prepare culturallycompetent, one-pot 30-min meals. Conclusions: Study recruitment is feasible among families with multiple social risk factors, who additionally face food insecurity and have children with obesity. Meal kits included fresh ingredients and recipes in English or Spanish to prepare one-pot 30-minute meals.
