Description
Summary:Software package Delft3D, supplemented by an ice module, was used to develop a three-dimensional numerical model of thermal processes in the Novosibirsk Reservoir. The results of calculations for 1981 were used to analyze the thermal and ice regime of the reservoir in the annual cycle. The calculated water temperatures were compared with observation data and averaged over the surface, bottom, and middle layers of characteristic regions of the reservoir. The model can be used as a basis for simulating environmental processes and making managerial decisions for optimizing the use of reservoir water resources.
